On 2nd June, an online event will take place in the framework of the EIP-AGRI initiative organised by the PRE-HLB project partners. This event will be attended by different relevant entities in the phytosanitary field and regional governments to discuss the contingency plan and the early warning procedure to prevent the vectors and the spread of HLB or greening.
The aim of this meeting is to have the participation of entities that address the situation in California and Portugal in order to serve as a reference for the rest of Europe. The event will be attended by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, which will discuss Spanish policy in Brussels, and the Generalitat Valenciana, which will focus on plant health. In addition, the views of COPA-COGECA, which represents farmers in Europe, and CropLife Europe, which represents the European agricultural industry, will be included. Finally, there will be an open discussion forum with the entities and organisations participating in the event, which will be led by AVA-ASAJA.
